Karting Track | Herefordshire Raceway

Alove of motor racing and a driving ambition to run a racing circuit of their own, Graham and Gillian Powell built and opened Herefordshire Raceway in July 2001.

The fast and twisting 600 metre go karting track located in the stunning Herefordshire countryside was an instant success not only with fellow karting enthusiasts but also with those who were trying karting for the first time and wanted to experience its thrill.

With the track attracting high numbers of people, the business grew solidly and so did investment in the circuit and its facilities.

The circuit, now run by their son Chris and a team of motorsport enthusiasts, attracts thousands of drivers each year offering a wide range of karting experiences for juniors, groups of friends, families and companies as well as it’s official championship series.

Herefordshire Raceway operates at a high standard of health & safety, with daily safety checks and detailed driver safety briefings. The management work closely with the National Karting Association and thanks their professional support in continuous improvement of services and safety standards.

The track welcomes both adults (17+) and children (8+) , individuals and groups. Adults can drive the awesome twin engine pro-karts up to 50mph. Juniors (8-16 yrs, min height 1.3m) also drive the twin engine pro-karts but on a restricted setting until they have proven their ability.

“Presentation and quality is our benchmark. By providing a beautiful circuit next to the pretty black and white village of Weobley, which won the village of the year award in 1999, we think we have achieved our goal.” The Powell Family
